Military Voices on Cannabis & Psychedelics

Ohio State University discovered a consensus among active-duty military personnel, veterans, and their families. Altogether supporting the recommendation of medical marijuana and psychedelics to be prescribed if Veterans Affa irs (VA) doctors deemed use beneficial. The survey involved 1,168 participants. furthermore these participants  span military & non-military cohorts. Moreover, the Survey unveiled insights into attitudes regarding the efficacy of these treatments. A majority of respondents advocate for doctors’ authority to recommend marijuana and psychedelics even without FDA approval. Those that can remember the Purdue Pharma opioid scandal may have less faith in the FDAs efficacy. Education is paramount for success. Significantly, the emphasis is on the importance of alternative treatment options for veterans. A critical consideration amid their unique health and mental health challenges.
